This paper presents a reconstruction of the ecological and hydrological history of a peatland in an area of continuous permafrost near Tuktoyaktuk. It is an attempt to understand to what degree peatland development may have been affected by climate, in order to gauge the sensitivity of peatlands in permafrost regions to future climate warming.
