Description :
This paper demonstrates a Mt. St. Helens provenance for the uppermost of the tephra and suggest correlations with the known eruption sequence. The AA. then discuss the geochronologic and stratigraphic significance of this discovery for interpretations of Pleistocene history of the Puget Lowland of western Washington state and sites containing correlative tephras in the eastern part of Washington state.
