Late Wisconsin/Early Holocene vegetation in the Bonneville Basin

Auteurs :
RHODE, D.
MADSEN, D.B.

Description :
Woodrat middens from the northern Bonneville Basin allow a reconstruction of vegetation changes from 14,000 to 9000 yr ago. Together with other biological evidence drawn from the middens and from regional pollen records, this reconstruction provdes a means of estimating likely climatic conditions responsible for both the lake history and regional biotic change. In addition, the results of this study serve as a north-eastern Great Basin bridge between paleovegetation reconstuctions of the central eastern Great Basin to the south.
