Les AA. analysent de quelles manières les communautés rurales et urbaines participent à la politique foncière zambienne. A partir des exemples de districts de Solwezi et de Zambezi situés dans la province nord-ouest du pays, ils expliquent que l’implication des populations rurales se trouve contrainte par les normes sociales et culturelles, ce qui les exclut du processus et les amènent à s’opposer à la réforme foncière en cours. Ils concluent par la mise en œuvre de politiques foncières qui prennent en compte les différentes attentes et exigences de chacune des communautés en matière de participation.
