A folyómedrek morfológiai tipizálásának hierarchiája a nemzetközi irodalomban

Présentation hiérarchique de la typologie morphologique des chenaux fluviaux dans la littérature internationale

Auteur :
LÓCZY, D.

Description :
A hierarchy of classifications of river channels based on their morphological properties is presented in the study at three scales : the shape and character of the valley, the channel pattern and bedforms. Single-thread channels are subdivided into morphological types by sinuosity and lateral instability. In spite of numerous efforts the definite distinction between composite channel pattern types (anabranching and anstomosing) has not been achieved yet. Human intervention (river regulation) induces river metamorphosis and produces anthropogenic channel types. New approaches to channel systemization involve hydrological parameters and sediment transport as well as stream power. The typology of channel reaches has several practical implications, including assessments of flood hazard and river habitat diversity. - (AM)
