Air temperature characteristics of the Postojna and Predjama cave systems

Description :
The monitoring of air temperature takes place on five locations in two cave systems: three in Postojna cave system (Velika gora, side passage and Lepe jame) and two in Predjama cave system (Velika dvorana and Konjski hlev). Due to the inflow of air currents from the unknown parts, the temperature difference between outside and cave temperature in the Postojna cave system is the highest in the side passage, especially in winter time. In the Predjama cave system, the air temperature in Velika dvorana is much more stable than in Konjski hlev passage, which is more subject to external influences. - (IKR)
