Description :
The article presents the results of a field research led in the perspectives of applied urban development in the Fez suburbs. It focuses on the following issues: identifying causes of flooding in the studied areas and its context ; evaluating adopted strategies in urban development and potential risk increasing ; apprehending their potential to manage urban drainage and reduce flooding in the district. It then discusses alternative conceptions, including social and spatial approaches to reduce the future impact of urban flooding on people and the environment.
