The regional development on the dualist Hungary (part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy at this time) started in the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. Concerning the dualist Hungary (1867–1918) there have been several regional dispositions since the 1880s, there is no professional consensus on the issue yet. In the first part of the paper A. presents the most important ideas (from Károly Keleti to present day) on the regional structure of dualist Hungary and then outlines perspectives of a consensus. - (AM)
