AA. examine the approach of English literature on institutions of higher education - within the context of regionalism. AA. aim to introduce the foundation and development of such universities through descriptive and empirical methods, and also to present the interactions of the potential role of higher education institutions in the development of the region, and the other way round. The literature has been explored with the help of internet databases and search engines : primarily, the search engine of the Taylor and Francis Group, and the ERIC database have been applied. - (AM)
