Spatial classification of rural areas In Poland

This article analyses the spatial classification of rural areas In Poland. The goal of the methodological work is to present a concept of the division of rural areas, and its possible applications based on official statistical data. This method assists in the identification of the scale of changes resulting in urbanization and the decline of towns that are remote from big cities. The presented results highlight the variety of rural areas based on land use, which is the most visible effect of human activity, could help us to evaluate these changes.
