Description :
This article conceptualizes the evolution of some dimensions of public space in contemporary cities. It associates the concepts of hybridity, sensibility, opportunity and informality with public spaces in order to understand and conceive urban space differently. It demonstrates that the use of new technologies changes the way people see the city, fosters citizen participation in the processes and lead to changes in the configuration and management of public spaces.
