Ferenc Fodor (1887–1962) was one of the leading Hungarian geographers between the two World Wars; later however, he became exiled from the academic life by the Communist regime. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death a critical review of his voluminous unpublished manuscript, a political geographical essay completed at the end of 1946, is attempted in the paper. - (AM)
