L'analyse géographique du territoire ethnique polonais

Auteur :
BOTTLIK, ZS.

Description :
In the 20th century the spatial patterns of Polish ethnic groups and their settlement concentration underwent several considerable changes. The A. concludes that the political borders of the newly defined Poland failed to overlap the ethnic core territory so first the problem of a highly populous ethnic minority and later the large migration waves during World War II and the following years had to be tackled. With the shift of the borders of the country to the west the concentration of the ethnic territory also changed, still there were hundreds of thousand people who declared themselves Polish in former Polish territories. - (AM)
