Aung San of Burma (Myanmar)

Auteur :
MAUNG MAUNG,

Description :
The A. tapped several sources to gather this collection of articles, mostly speeches and writing of Aung San. Also some original contributions from Aung San’s contemporaries. The founder of New Burma, fell under assassin’s bullets on the 19th July, 1947, when he was 33. People remember what he stood for : honesty and hard work, unity and discipline. The post-war years have been years of change and ferment of peril and opportunity, in Burma and the world over. This volume projects a picture of Aung San the man, his role, and his times in Burma. It aims to bring out his message anew, especially for the benefit of the younger people. - (GL)
