Description :
This paper aims to reconstruct late Holocene environmental changes in Altona Bay, St. Croix, northeastern Caribbean. By using sedimentological and geochemical data on a radiocarbon dated sediment core in combination with pollen analysis and foraminiferal studies, the AA. aim to assess the relative importance of longer-term processes associated with (late) Holocene sea level rise and natural hazard events contributing to the environmental development of the study site.
