The Horcones Valley is situated in south part of the Andes and belongs to the most tourist developed mountain valleys in the region, thanks to the main tourist route to the Aconcagua summit. During the expedition which took place between January and February 2008, the research and observations of trekking, alpinism and tourist development in the Horcones Valley were undertaken and the results were presented in this paper. - (BJ)
