Description :
Indigenous people commonly manage their resources sustainably, and they develop knowledge systems. The study compares indigenous knowledge of natural resource management developed by two different communities in two different environments. The role of the knowledge is evaluated in three categories. There are similarities in concepts, principles, strategies and technologies used in natural resource management.
