Description :
This paper proposes a new approach based on radiometric and spatial remotely sensed information, for the mapping of hydrological soil surface characteristic (SSC) classes according to a predefined typology based on infiltration rates. The proposed approach was implemented over a dataset of digital airborne images collected by a small Pixy drone within a Mediterranean vineyard environment. The results are validated using intensive ground-based observations with acceptable performances.
