Description :
A Lagrangian snow saltation model has been extended for application to a wide variety of snow surfaces. The model is modified to include various parameterizations of aspects of the saltation process, and to allow comparison with single height measurements. Results are compared on the basis of total and size-resolved mass fluxes, suggesting directions for future research. This could include application from avalanche warning to glacier mass balance.
