Description :
The aim of this study is to quantify lower permafrost limits in the Abisko region by means of independent proxy data (BTS) and statistical analysis. The results serve as a basis for evaluation of climate and environment permafrost relations and the response of the region to anticipated climate warming. In order to explore the possibility of non-stationarity, Geographical Weighted Regression (GWR) was used as an exploratory tool. The results are discussed.
