Vegetation patterns and species-environment relationships in the Gurbantunggut Desert of China

Description :
This paper, with CCA and other quantitaive methods, compares the characteristics of vegetation distribution in the longitudinal and transverse directions across the landscape in the Gurbantunggut Desert, and discusses the response to spatially varying gradients of environmental factors, such as landform morphology and soil physical and chemical properties. Thus, this paper aims to provide ecological understanding of the relationship between the vegetation patterns and environmental factors on a quantitative level, to aid vegetation rehabilitation and ecological re-building.
