This paper shows the determination of rainfall erosivity by using meteorological data that are available from the network of the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia. The available rainfall data (5-minute rainfall intensities) are used for the computation of the rainfall-runoff erosivity factor R. By doing so we can estimate the average annual soil loss per surface if using the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE). The determination of monthly, annual, and extreme values of the R factor is shown in the part of the Sava River basin between the confluences with the Savinja and Krka Rivers for the Lisca and Sevno stations. Furthermore, for the Malkovec station we showed different ways of computation of the R factor on the basis of daily precipitation and the mean monthly temperatures. The rainfall-runoff erosivity follows the mean monthly temperatures better than it follows the monthly rainfall. - (IKR)
