Description :
The Hungarian town, Gyöngyös has always had strong central functions and an extensive catchment area. The research was conducted in accordance to two basic objectives. One of them was to study the town’s complex urban field on the basis of selected functions and, on the other hand, to carry out a historical comparison. To this, each sectoral function for the settlement was examined and the complex urban fields of the town were consequently determined. - (AM)
