Description :
Sirex noctilio is causing considerable mortality in commercial pine plantations in KwaZulu-Natal. The ability to detect variable infestation levels by remote sensing remains crucial for monitoring the spread of the disease and for effective suppression. The necessary spatial resolution guidelines needed for operational detection are established in this study. - (AJC)
