Mapping of colophospermum mopane using Landsat TM in eastern Botswana

Description :
The spatial distribution of the tree species, Colophospermum mopane is mapped at its southern limits in eastern Botswana, using Landsat technology. Its close relationship with soil type is investigated. It is shown that the methods applied prove that the much needed inventory of vegetation cover in Botswana can be obtained using remote sensing. - (AJC)
