Description :
The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationships and differences existing between the erosion rates in the coastal and terrestrial limestones through the comparison of micro-erosion meter (MEM) and traversing micro-rosion meter (t-MEM) data collected over a maximum of 3 years in the Istrian coastal sector, 10 years in the Gulf of Trieste, 25 years in the Classical Karst and 5 years in the inland Istrian Karst. The sites and their distribution were chosen in order to get information on the differences in erosion rates according to altitude and exposure to various meteoclimatic environments and submarine springs.
