Description :
This study aims to derive sediment budget information for a small (89 ha) wildfire-affected forested catchment in southeast Australia using fallout radioisotope tracer techniques as well as process information on the behaviour of radionuclides in soils after fires. This provides valuable information on sediment and nutrient yield from burnt forested landscapes as well as improvements on how fallout radionuclide tracer techniques can be applied in wildfire-affected terrain.
