Description :
The aim of this paper is to review a wide range of cryogenic forms of an area in southern part of the main water divide of the Cantabrian Range represented in a detailed geomorphological map made for this purpose. Special attention was paid to glacial and periglacial features while producing the map. Analysis of cryogenic forms and their relations with glacial and paraglacial features has allowed to establish a relationship between them and environmental processes at different time. A relation between some boulder deposits, located on higher part of slopes and opposite to glacier cirques, and cryoweathering of quartzites highly fractured by postglacial readjustments is proposed. Developed at different altitudes and on slopes with different orientations, fossil, inactive and active periglacial features provide evidence for more than one cryomere.
