Description :
The AA. present extensive geomorphic evidence, and limited sedimentological and chronological evidence, documenting ice extent in the Tasman Mountains of northwest Nelson, New Zealand. They find (cosmogenic dating) that ice limits were of greater extent, at least for a short period, than was previously envisioned. This expanded ice extent mandates reconsideration of both Southern Hemisphere climatic fluctuations and local geomorphic processes.
