Description :
GIMMS NDVI database processed by the Global Inventory Monitoring and Modeling Studies and geo-statistics were used to depict the spatial distribution and temporal stability of NDVI (Normalized Differential Vegetation Index) on the Mongolian Plateau. The NDVI spatial pattern was generated, and the relationship between NDVI and vegetation cover was discussed. It is showed that the NDVI spatial distribution was mainly controlled by structural factors.
