Inscription of 340 lines recovered in Thailand from a ruined temple close to the Cambodian border. Dated of 1052 AD it related the early history of the Khmer Empire. In 1979 the temple’s premises, renamed Camp 007, emerged as a haven for the refugees and a stronghold for the resistance fighters during the Cambodian war. At his peak the camp’s population reached around 100.000. - (GL)
