Description :
The article deals with the restoration, the biodiversity, the megaherbivore grazing, the natural recovery, the hay transfer and the seed addition. The species-rich floodplain grassland Wulfener Bruch near by the Town Köthen in Saxony-Anhalt is a part from biosphere reserve “Mittelelbe” and it’s a project of Natura 2000-area and a bird sanctuary. Since 1996, a local NGO –the NABU Köthen – works in the “Wulfener Bruch” area. In the year 2003, three different treatments were realized on the sites: natural recovery, hay transfer, and seeding of a commercial seed mixture. - (IfL)
