The article deals with port-city, the structural change, the local culture (for example fish markets for tourists, port festivals), the globalization, the adaptation and the change of path. Large projects, like the “Docklands” in London, the “Port Vell” in Barcelona or the “Hafen-city” in Hamburg produce new areas for organizations of information, knowledge and service. The port-cities have new places for “placemaking” and “imagebuilding”. - (IfL)
