Enquête par interviews concernant trois types différents d'habitat urbain de Hong Kong. Quatre indices mesurent les différences inter et intra-quartiers (attraction, sentiment d'appartenance à une communauté, cohésion et organisation sociales). Les écarts entre quartiers apparaissent significatifs. Ils s'expliquent par le caractère du quartier, par la politique gouvernementale, par les effets de la gestion des logements privés.
