Description :
By comparative analysis on observation data in the period of 1951–1998, pre (1999–2002) and post (2003–2008) Three Gorges Project storage, from main hydrological stations in Jingjiang River and Dongting Lake, the AA. try to reveal, in the initial period of the Three Gorges Reservoir operation, the response to scour-fill in the middle and lower Yangtze River, as well as the chain hydrological effects, and to make academic references for seizing accurately the threshold value about silt-discharge controlling and reasonable reservoir operation, and enacting comprehensive management scheme about Dongting Lake in the new period, under the normal state of the Three Gorges Project operation.
