Description :
Info-communication technology (ICT) changes the methodology and equipments of education. The new competences, equally obtained by teachers and pupils, restructure the practice of education. In the study, this process is specified for the teaching of geography. At the beginning, new paradigms of geography education are presented, as declared by the International Charter of Geographical Education (1992). It is followed by description of digital equipments and multi-media software products. After these tools, mainly used in the classroom education, the paper introduces general possibilities of the Internet and the GEOGRAPHICAL nEtQUIPMENT, which is an interactive knowledge base, developed by the A. - (AM)
