Description :
This work assesses the degree of anthropogenic domination of the middle Obra river basin. It was achieved by summing the surface forms and objects of human origin that are present in subsequent periods in cartographic materials developed in 1826, 1940 and 2000. The lengths of linear anthropogenic forms were also compared on the basis of the same data. Surface elements that have been digitized from the cartographic materials are lakes and forests. In turn, the linear elements taken under consideration during the analysis include watercourses: channels, rivers and drainage ditches. The research sustains the conclusion that anthropogenic changes have spread throughout almost the entire area of the middle Obra river basin since modern times began. – (BJ)
