Description :
The aim of this study is to analyse the development of nocturnal intra-urban cooling rates and air temperature differences. The sites have different building geometry (SVF) and are situated within a radius of 300 m to avoid distance effects. Seasonal variation is also considered. The results are discussed in relation to wind speed, longwave radiation and vertical thermal structure during the night. The study was performed in the city of Göteborg, Sweden, and is based on one year of hourly data.
