Description :
Signs of postglacial geomorphic evolution are predominant in the cirques of the highest volcanic massif of the Carpathians, the Calimani Mountains. Changes in the treeing-widths in Swiss stone pine trees of the upper timberline and the geomorphological-sedimentalogical analysis of the features from the movements unequivocally suggest that there have been strong a warm spell followed by landform inactivation during the early 20th century. - (AM)
