Description :
The AA. investigate the slag heaps of the industrial plants of Salgótarján which have been polluting for dozen of years. Investigating the grain size distribution and the chemical composition of slag, the AA. identified the mineral assemblage on the soot samples using X-ray diffractometry and measure their major element composition using electron microprobe. The results of the analytical methods were in good agreement. - (AM)
