The soundscapes investigated by geographers include also the promotion, within the marketing strategies adopted by local stakeholders, of the biographical events and of the artistic production of famous composers and musicians. The city of Parma represents an interesting case : in the last years the city built a new auditorium for concerts and a new center called The House of Music. 2007 is also the fiftieth anniversary of Arturo Toscanini's death. There will be a series of events organized to celebrate the famous music director born in Parma. - (NF)
