The aim of this work has been to define the course of the boundary between the Miechowska Upland and Proszowicki Plateau, on the basis of research on landscape elements and landscape structure along a preliminarily allocated border zone between those regions, as well as to determine the ranks of the geocomplexes building this boundary and the regions which are separated by this boundary. The field mapping was carried out on a selected 17 km2 area of border zone. Features of bedrock and relief and landscape structure determine the course of the boundary referred to, that between the mentioned regions comprising geocomplexes of individual terrain rank located on the eastern slopes of the Biórkówka valley as well as its right-bank tributary. Mesoregions within the same macroregion arte also identified. The course of the boundary coincides with the line joining the eastern most Cretaceous outcrops. - (BJ)
