Bratislava's perspective in Europe

Description :
The establishment of the Slovak Republic in 1993, bringing the key function of capital city to Bratislava, strenghtened the tertiary and quaternary sectors. Because the city is overshadowed by the other central European metropolis, Bratislava cannot reach the position of these command cities, but it can successfully aspire to the position of the regional centre with medium importance. The main objective of the article is to present some long-term trends and scenarios concerning Bratislava's perspective in Europe. - (IFL)
