Private households constitute the second demographic feature in the system of the Spatial Planning Projection for Germany. With the household model the previously prognosticated population is distributed among private households of different sizes. Although the private households are closely associated with the population dynamics, they show a greater dynamic force of development, which is determined by trends towards smaller households and the diversification into different household types. - (IFL)
