By means of an analysis of contemporary Switzerland and of Switzerland in the recent past, the authors prepared four alternative scenarios for the year 2030, namely the scenarios of a Switzerland that is a) rich and isolated, b) dynamic and open, c) sustainable and united as well as d) wavering and self-oriented. In this form they have also been incorporated in a government study that is concerned with the development of the future national transport system. - (IFL)
