Relief-rejuvenation and topographic length scales in a fluvial drainage basin, Napf area, Central Switzerland

Description :
This paper presents a detailed study from the approximately 63 km2 Fontanne drainage basin located in the Luzern area, Central Switzerland. It illustrates that this drainage basin has adapted to a lowered base level by headward erosion. The mode of sediment transport and erosion is assessed by detailed field studies. Identification of length scales is accomplished by morphometric analyses of a digital elevation model.
