Description :
The effect of several wind characteritics on sand transport was studied in 3 experiments in north Burkina Faso. The aim is to provide more insight into the relationship between turbulent air flow and related saltation transport. In addition, it examines which parameter, shear stress or drag force, would be best for modeling purposes on small time scales.
