Effects of flood abrasion of the Carpathian alluvial gravels

Description :
This paper aims at an analysis of the changes in selected parameters of pebbles resulting from the flood transport. Transport of alluvium occurs in both the montains - the source area of the rock material in the channel - and in the foreland, where no new rock material is added. Proportions between gravels, sands and finer materials change rapidly in the foreland in favour of the finer material.
