Description :
This paper focuses on the relationships between precipitation and runoff in a small catchment in the Central Spanish Pyrenees (the Arnás catchment), which was cultivated until 40 years ago and then abandoned. The analysis of floods shows a highly variable response of discharge to rainfall. The main purpose of this paper is to identify different types of floods and to assess the factors explaining the variability of the hydrological response through the year, as well as to understand the hydrological functioning of a severely disturbed area.
