Late Quaternary climate-ocean changes in western North Africa : offshore geochemical evidence

Auteurs :
HASLETT, S.K.
DAVIES, C.F.C.

Description :
The AA. deploy inorganic geochemistry to provide proxies of both oceanic and terrestrial environments as a way of examining climate-ocean changes in the region during the Late Quaternary. Attention is focused on major changes from glacial to post-glacial conditions, but the AA. also examine regional climate-ocean responses to known short-lived hemispheric climatic perturbations, such as Heinrich events, Dansgaard-Oeschger events, and Bond cycles. They also examine the significance of the results for understanding present climate and environmental change.
